Dr. Antwon Martin
Dr. Antwon Martin is an author, speaker and professor. Martin has been featured on television and other media locales for his role as an influential author. Martin's goal is to inspire personally, professionally, spiritually and academically through his writing. Martin authored the book, "Accomplishing Prodigious Goals" & "Harmony: Striking The Chords Of Heaven", with the mission of motivating this generation to reach their God given potential.
Martin began his teaching career at Lynwood Unified School District, where he taught for over 10 years. Currently, Martin is a college professor, educating in 500+ seat lecture halls at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to intimate settings at private Universities and serves as a mentor at the Price Professional Mentor Program at the University of Southern California, developing relationships through instruction to address the need for a high performance cadre of leaders who are adaptable; who inspire, motivate, and guide others to produce tangible results; and who demonstrate high standards of honesty, integrity, trust, openness, and respect. Martin also provides institutional knowledge and accountability for the program’s success factors, and desired outcomes and evaluation of the scope and quality of program activities, as well as provides policy and procedures aimed at assuring appropriateness, effectiveness, and efficiency in activities, and ensure organizational integration into the overall program.
Martin also teaches a variety of classes at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Argosy University. Additionally, Martin is a Computer Science Curriculum Developer and Instructional Coach with Code to the Future. Martin's role at Code to the Future is to support school district success through strategic technology implementation plans in preparation to participate in the 21st century economy. Marin also coaches instructors, training them in the thinking processes of a computer scientist, such as computational, procedural, logical, creative, and iterative thinking, preparing them for rigorous college-level studies and career, as well as leads professional development sessions on computer science integration. Finally, Martin is an Assistant Pastor at the Greater Bethel Cathedral Church in Los Angeles.
Martin holds a Bachelor in Education from California State University, Dominguez Hills, a Masters in Education from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Doctorate of Education, Educational Leadership and Administration from Argosy University.
