At Yes I Can Unity Through Music & Education, we believe real-world connection is essential for building meaningful, sustainable careers in the entertainment industry. That’s why industry networking isn’t a stand-alone add-on—it’s woven directly into our core services for all participants.

Our students benefit from twice-weekly virtual guest speaker sessions featuring professionals working at every level of the industry—from performers and technical crew to production company staff, executives, and creatives behind major shows and projects. These live conversations offer firsthand insight into what it takes to work in entertainment while building early connections and mentorship opportunities in an often hard-to-access field.

Beyond virtual learning, students join community-based outings that open doors to the places where entertainment comes to life. Visits to film studios, soundstages, and rental houses provide a behind-the-scenes view of industry operations, while group trips to concerts, live shows, and TV tapings turn learning into an immersive experience. These outings allow students to see professional production in action, imagine their own future paths, and deepen their understanding of the creative careers available to them.

Students also gain practical, hands-on experience by contributing to real productions—from documentaries and commercials to event coverage—both in our in-house creator studio and on location. This combination of learning, mentorship, observation, and participation helps develop the skills, confidence, and professional networks needed to pursue work in the entertainment field.

For those outside our walls, our Breaking The Biz Podcast shares the spirit of these guest speaker sessions with the public. Curated and edited for global streaming, the podcast features authentic, insightful conversations with entertainment industry professionals, making these stories accessible to everyone. It’s part of our mission to level the conversation between the disability community and the entertainment industry at large—creating awareness, sharing knowledge, and fostering greater inclusion. Episodes are available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and more.
